A fitnah for the hujjaj. Translated by Umme Fardeen

Alhamdulilah as every year thousands of Muslims will visit the Baitullah (House of Allah).

After performing the umrah the precious moment starts when every haji will travel to this holy place to complete his pilgrimage.An unforgettable moment for every Muslim and one which all of us wants to experience.

Dear brothers and sisters.

Every deed depends on the intention we make. Our hajj and every other ibadah need to be performed only for the sake of Allah. No other creature has the right to be a part of this ibaadah. Our Hajj Umrah Tawaaf is only and only for Allah. There is no need for others to be a part of this.

A Fitnah for the hujjaj.

The community we live in nowadays is one where everything is posted on social media. People post everything on Facebook Twitter Instagram etc. and just wait for the comments.The hujjaj are also involved in this fitnah. Every year we see our Muslim brothers and sisters visit the holy places and keeping themselves busy with clicking pics and uploading videos instead of gaining the rewards and benefits by visiting these holy places.  Brothers and sisters. Isn’t this riya (show off?). An ibaadah that needs to be for Allah alone we make others be a part of it to. Despite the fact that this is counted as riya. If we cannot connect with Allah. What have we gained with this hajj? If we are lost in the thought that the world should see what I’m doing, how can we accept that our hajj is accepted by Allah? Keep this fitnah away and concentrate on connecting with Allah.

Functions before and after hajj.

People organize functions/get together for the hujjaj before they leave and after completing the hajj (welcome party). Guest are invited and the haji/hajah are being congratulated.

Brothers and sisters what do we gain by setting up this functions? Is it because people should know that I’m a haji/hajah now? Because the name and status will be of no benefit in the akhirah if the hajj is not accepted.

The sahaba and salaf were afraid of every deed the act upon and we are so sure our hajj is accepted.

If the hajj does is accepted won't we be at loss of all the rewards and blessing just because of the riya.

Allah will not accept our accepted hajj just because people ask respect and appreciation from family friend’s community by arranging a welcome function

Be careful with your deeds!

The Ullemah need to warn people about this. The Ullemah and imams (aimmah) should tell and warn the community they live in about these masail and rules. They shouldn’t worry about what people will say or think but it’s their fardh to speak the truth. And the first step is not to take part in such functions. But it’s sad that often the same people say what harm is in this.

May Allah accept the hajj and ibaadah of the hujjaj. Ameen
